New Series ‘Mickey Mouse Funhouse’ Coming to Disney Junior

A brand new series Mickey Mouse Funhouse is set to debut on Disney Junior in 2021 and will feature Funny, an enchanted talking playhouse who leads the “Sensational Six”, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Pluto on imaginative adventures.

Joe D’Ambrosia, senior vice president, Original Programming, and general manager of Disney Junior says, “preschoolers around the world love Mickey Mouse and friends, and we are eager to showcase these beloved characters as they are transported to magical new destinations in each episode, encouraging kids to expand their own worlds using their imaginations. We can’t wait for our young audience to meet Funny, who is a dynamic and playful addition to the treasured world of Mickey Mouse.”

Each 22 minute episode is geared toward kids ages 2-7 and their families, and will feature two 11-minute stories separated by a dance break which is sure to get your house moving!  The series aims to “demonstrate imaginative play, encourage wish fulfillment and impart age-appropriate social and emotional lessons about friendship, creativity, and ingenuity.”

Phil Weinstein is executive producer, Thomas Hart is co-executive producer and supervising story editor, and story editor Mark Drop are all part of the creative team from Disney Junior’s Emmy® Award-nominated series for preschoolers Mickey and the Roadster Racers.

Emmy winner Alan Bodner (Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure) is the new series’ art director. Music for Mickey Mouse Funhouse will be composed by Beau Black (The Lion Guard), who will also co-write original songs for the series with Loren Hoskins (Jake and the Never Land Pirates). Mickey Mouse Funhouse is produced by Disney Television Animation.
