VIDEO: Disney Releases Touching Holiday Animated Short and Mickey Mouse Plush
Disney releases heart touching 3-minute Holiday Animated Short titled “From Our Family to Yours”. The short was created as a continued celebration of the 40-year anniversary between Disney and Make-A-Wish. Along with this brand-new animated short is a lovable Mickey Mouse plush – which unlocks yet another donation to Make-A-Wish.
This animated short highlights festive traditions and shared experiences that connect generations and make lifelong memories. It features two new lovable characters, Lola and her granddaughter, alongside a familiar friend – Mickey Mouse.
“Christmas is a time for giving and giving back, and we’re delighted to debut this festive ad campaign supporting our long-term charity partner Make-A-Wish,” said Tasia Filippatos, SVP, Disney EMEA. “Our goal was to tell a universal story that inspires through the themes of family, love and special holiday traditions.”

The short was produced by New Zealand-based animation studio Flux, marking the 40th anniversary of Disney’s partnership with the non-profit Make-A-Wish Foundation, which raises funds to help fulfill the wishes of children – between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 years old – with a critical illness. In conjunction with the From Our Family release, the foundation will be selling the vintage-inspired Mickey Mouse plush toys depicted in the short. Disney will follow suit with $1 donations to the foundation every time the hashtag #LoveFromDisney is shared on social media alongside a festive holiday memory.
