Disney Highlights Resort Perks and Poolside Construction Progress for Lakeshore Lodge

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge continues to take shape along the shores of Bay Lake in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area as the property prepares for its scheduled opening on July 1, 2027. Recent construction updates from the hotel's pool area reveal new thematic elements, while Disney confirms a growing lineup of guest perks for the upcoming resort.

In the Wetlands outdoor recreation area, construction progress is visible around the pool deck. Giant otter sculptures named Addy and Bonnie, featuring small slides alongside blades of grass and cattails, have been completely installed. Blue heron sculptures have also been added across the lazy river near a bridge and a tree structure featuring round green elements. Palm trees have been planted in squares within the decking around Lakeshore Lagoon, while a large water slide remains in pieces awaiting installation. Across the resort near the Cypress Point pool and boat transportation dock, more exterior wall paneling has been installed on surrounding buildings.

Alongside physical progress, Disney has confirmed that Lakeshore Lodge will participate in several key resort benefits when it opens next year. Guests staying at the new property will be eligible for Walt Disney World's complimentary water park admission on check-in day for the summer 2027 season. This benefit allows guests to visit either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach by using their Disney band, Disney MagicMobile pass, or Key to the World Card.

Additionally, Disney confirmed earlier this month that Lakeshore Lodge is included among the resorts participating in Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. Early Theme Park Entry allows registered guests to enter Walt Disney World theme parks 30 minutes before regular opening each day of their stay, including check-in and check-out days, with valid theme park admission. Extended Evening Theme Park Hours provide registered guests staying at eligible properties with additional time in select theme parks on designated evenings, subject to the official operating calendar.

Reservations for the 967-room nature-inspired property opened in October 2026. The resort features accommodations ranging from duo studios and deluxe villas to waterfront Lake Houses and club-level suites with access to The Artist's Nest concierge lounge. Planned amenities include dining locations such as Moonglade, Bay Lake Provisions, and Paint Out Point Bar & Grill, along with water taxi transportation to the Magic Kingdom. A scale model of the resort is currently on display in the Walt Disney Presents theater at Disney's Hollywood Studios for visitors wanting a closer look at the upcoming destination.
