Bookings Now Available for Holiday Sleigh Rides at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Reservations are officially open for the festive Holiday Sleigh Rides at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground for the 2026 holiday season. Guests looking for a seasonal activity outside the theme parks can now book the horse-drawn experience for dates running from December 1 through December 30, 2026. Please note that the experience will not operate on December 24.

Each horse-drawn excursion lasts for 25 minutes, taking guests along scenic woodland trails through the campground. Sleighs accommodate up to 4 adults, or 2 adults and 3 small children. Each individual ride costs $80, which includes tax. This marks a $5 increase from the $75 rate charged during the 2022 season.

Advance reservations are strongly recommended due to limited availability, and bookings can be made up to 60 days before a visit through the My Disney Experience app or Disney’s website. For those unable to secure an advance spot, same-day reservations and walk-ins will be offered on a limited basis, subject to availability.

Guests should plan their travel carefully ahead of time. Visitors arriving by car must park at the main entrance of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and take a complimentary bus to the Settlement Bus Depot. Disney recommends allowing at least 60 minutes for transportation, while those traveling from other locations across Walt Disney World property should allow up to 90 minutes.

Check-in takes place at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch barn, located near the Settlement Bus Depot, and guests must arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled reservation time. Visitors using a wheelchair must be able to step up into the sleigh in order to participate.

The rides operate in both rain and cold weather conditions, though they may be cancelled in the event of extreme weather. Umbrellas, ponchos, and sunscreen are not provided by Disney, so guests must bring their own supplies. Additionally, a strict 24-hour cancellation policy is in effect. Guests who miss their reservation or cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be charged the full price of the ride.
