Grand Floridian Cafe Reopening Date Announced

The Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is on track to reopen on November 2, 2026. Updated operating hours and dining reservation availability on the Walt Disney World website point to this early November return, showing dinner availability starting that day. Disney has not issued a separate announcement confirming the exact date, and a message on the website still indicates that the restaurant will remain closed throughout October 2026. Because reservation availability can change, Disney could adjust the timeline without notice.

The table-service dining venue has been closed since July 20, 2026, for a multi-month refurbishment. Disney originally stated that the refurbishment would run from mid-July through October, so the November 2nd return keeps the project roughly within the timeline the company set. Prior to the closure, the cafe featured brunch and dinner. During the refurbishment, dinner was unavailable, while brunch service moved upstairs to Cítricos, operating daily from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

With the upcoming reopening, dinner hours return beginning November 2nd. While brunch reservations are currently available at Cítricos, those listings are not shown beginning November 2nd, though they may be added at a later date. It is expected that brunch will eventually move back to the cafe’s usual first-floor space once the refurbished venue welcomes guests again.

The restaurant is anticipated to feature some new theming when it reopens, consistent with recent refreshes across Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Other updates at the resort have included a complete overhaul of the lobby, renovations to the Garden View Lounge, and the opening of The Perch. Guests visiting the property should note that renovations to select spots, including the covered entrance, will continue through early 2027. Visitors may still encounter construction work or altered walking paths around the resort even after the cafe reopens. Other dining locations at the resort, such as 1900 Park Fare, have remained available during the closure.
