Howdy!!

It’s been a little over three years since we started What’s up Mickey and for the 3rd anniversary we wanted to give the site an updated look.  We debuted the slimmed down design just before New Year’s and have been diligently working in the background streamlining the layout and format.  While it’s not as big as rolling out a new nighttime spectacular like Harmonious it was a rather large undertaking for our humble team.

We’ve been “collecting” favorite Disney fan sites for over 15 years.  The original design of the site was simply a place to organize our favorite stories and share them as a family.  Each day we look forward to reading fresh and exciting headlines related to everything Disney.  It’s the highlight of our day!  Everyone in the family contributes to the latest headlines ensuring different likes and unique points of view are incorporated into the list of stories.  It’s a generational thing. The kids and their grandfather contribute quite a bit to the headlines spanning across multiple Disney owned properties including such fan favorites as Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Star Wars, Pixar and much more!

We recognize change can be unnerving.  Taking that into account, we discussed how best to update the site.  We understood many of our users had become accustomed to the feed layout, while other users found it to be a little overwhelming.  Don’t worry, the feeds did not go away, but they have moved.  You can find them at feeds.whatsupmickey.com or by clicking on FEEDS in the top navigation.  We’ve also organized content in way that’s easier for you to find topics which interest you the most and the newly added search in the top right can assist you in locating what’s most important during your visit.

A lot of folks around the world spend a ton of time and effort keeping fans, like us, updated on what’s happening at the “Happiest Place on Earth”, and we sincerely appreciate all their hard work.  We link to a lot of sites with quite a few ads and we understand how those ads can sometimes be bothersome, but many of the sites we link to are small and could use the income ads deliver to keep their sites up and running.  If you use an ad blocker we hope it’s not too much to ask that you turn it off for your favorite Disney fan sites.

We realize every Disney fan site is not listed, but we are trying to find them all!!  Perhaps today you’ll find a fan site you didn’t know existed or a headline you can’t wait to read. Our goal has always been, and will continue to be, running a G-rated site linking to G-rated content while covering everything Disney.  The best compliment you can give the site is by telling a friend about it.

Thanks for visiting What’s up Mickey!
